HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Tomorrow is Halloween and it's also the last day of October.  For me this means remembering several important events in my life.  It's funny that today I'm actually thinking about the times I celebrated halloween when I was a little girl.  I haven't thought about that since I was a little girl.:-)  Do you remember when you went out Trick or Treatin'? I have very fond memories of this date and I remember vividly how my mom would invite all of the kids in the neighborhood to our house for a party.  I believe we would get all dressed up and we would even go out and knock from door to door maybe for about 30 minutes and after that everyone would come to our house, where my mom would have purchased a cake along with some sandwiches and punch.

It almost brings tears to my eyes also as I think about that with a smile but yet at the same time to fast forward to 3 years ago where I find myself remembering being the caregiver of my father.  You see, his birthday will be on November 1st which makes it 3 years that he's no longer here, and so I'm having quite a few mixed emotions here full of joy and tears at the same time.

I took this photo a couple of weeks ago while walking through the center and these pumpkins also made me think of the times that I would cut my pumpkins and put a candle in it.  I think I'll buy a pumpkin just for the heck of it and see what I carve out.  Lol  Be careful and enjoy yourselves.  #thelifeofavocalist
